The term cloud refers to a network or Internet or we can say that cloud is something which is available at remote location.
Cloud computing is internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software and information are provided to computer and other devices on demand, like the electricity grid.

What is Cloud Computing?

In the easiest terms, cloud computing implies storing and accessing information and programs over the Internet rather than PC's hard drive. The cloud is only a representation for the Internet.
Cloud Computing is Internet based computing  where virtual  shared  servers provide software, infrastructure, platform, devices  and other resources  and hosting  to customers on a pay –as-you-use basis.
How Cloud Computing Works?

What Is It Made Of?
We could say that the cloud is made of layers, generally know as a front end layer, and the back end layer. The network layer is then used to connect end users' devices.
On the front end of a cloud computing system there is:
·         A client
·         An application
·         User interface
·         Basically, what the user “sees and interacts with”
On the back end of the system, there are:
·         Computers that run the applications
·         Servers (with a central server(s))
·         Data storage systems
·         Basically, what we call “the cloud”

Every application will have its own server, and a central server that screens traffic on every other server, and communicates through protocol. The software that is utilized in a cloud computing system, that enables PCs to communicates, is known as middleware. With respect to the data storage, a cloud computing system must copy all information and store it at, somewhere around, one other devices. In this manner, it requires double the quantity of storage devices for the organization that gives the service, or more. This is known as redundancy.
